Have you taken the Zevia Challenge - Make the Switch! - Review

For those of you that have been following along, you'll know that I'm a BIG fan of Zevia. I've reviewed them in the past and I've expressed how much I enjoy this zero calorie soda!

Here's just a few of the reasons why I like Zevia so much -

Just the facts -
• Zevia Zero Calorie Soda is sweetened naturally with a unique blend
of high purity Stevia (grown right here in the US!) and Monk Fruit.
• Zevia comes in 15 different flavors, including Ginger Root Beer,
Strawberry, Cherry Cola, and many more.
• This soda contains no calories, sugar or artificial sweeteners.
• No worries! It’s totally Kosher, Vegan, and Gluten-Free!
• The retail price for a 6-pack of Zevia ranges from $3.99 to $5.99.

15 flavors? There is NO way you'd get bored!

Coming from a HUGE hispanic family, where family gatherings at least 3 times a month are the norm, you can't find Zevia in an ice chest. I always make sure to take a few six packs. When family asks, "What are you drinking?" i'm ready with all my answers and I can usually get most of them to try and say, "These are REALLY good!"

I always keep Zevia in the freezer because I like them ice cold! I have a six pack in the pantry at all times ready to get popped into the freezer. Where do you keep your Zevia?

While you tell me all the creative and delicious ways you drink Zevia, either at home or on the go, why not let Zevia know as well?

You can find Zevia on -

Money Mailer - The Next Generation of Savings!

***Disclosure: I am participating in this campaign as a member of  The Niche Parent Network & Conference Network & Conference in partnership with Money Mailer. All opinions are my own.***

Here is a statistic that will blow your mind -

"92% of consumers use coupons, 60% use printable coupons"

MoneyMailer.com provided me with some great Couponing Craze Statistics, I believe it, too. I've been extreme couponing for a little over a year and so far I've been able to save my family thousands of dollars in just 12 months.

I will share with you some of the most effective ways to save! You don't need to be extreme to be able to achieve maximum savings!

Coupon Tips for Moms & Dads:

  • Budget - Make a budget and be sure to stick to it. Whether it's a daily, weekly or monthly budget it will help keep your spending on track!
  • Keep receipts - Most grocery stores and even large convenience/drug stores will show you how much you saved right on the receipt.
  • Study Grocery Ads - It may sound daunting, but getting a sense of what sale is going to yield the highest savings makes sense. If your mail carrier doesn't deliver the weekly store ads, go online. Most stores will provide you with their current ad, and some will even post into the following week.
  • Stack your coupons - What is a coupon stack? It's very simple. Did you see a great advertised deal on your grocers weekly ad? Did the ad also provide you with a store coupon? Why not check out your Sunday newspaper and use a simple coupon database to locate a Manufacturer Coupon. You'll get your items under the ad sale price, plus, in store savings and a manufacturer coupon. What would normally cost you $4 a piece has now cost you $4 for 10!
  • Shop Managers Specials - Does your family eat a lot of protein like mine? Head on over to the meat department (typically before ads end, which is Tuesday or Sunday) and look for any packaged meat that has a "Reduced"  or "Manager's Special" sticker. You'll be able to score great deals on meat, and if you freeze it properly you'll have protein for the entire month!
  • Check online for special promo or free shipping codes when making purchases online, also use sites like ebates and fat wallet to earn cash back on your purchases
  • Use moneymailer.com to find coupons specifically detailed to work for local business and get great discounts on just about anything! From products, brands, services to restaurants.
Avoid these common mistakes:

  • Using coupons on things you don't really need
  • Not following specific size requirements and guidelines
  • Not using coupons on items that are already on sale
  • Missing out on stacking opportunities (see above for example)
  • Not reading the coupons fine print or having no knowledge of the store's policy
MoneyMailer.com has a great FREE app that you can download onto your phone for easy access to coupons and promo codes! If you sign up for their free service, they'll mail you a current packet with coupons that are specifically for your local zip code!

Body Armor - The smart sports drink alternative - Review

What is Body Armor?
"BODYARMOR has more electrolytes than the leading sports drink, coconut water, and vitamins and contains NO artificial flavors, colors, or sweeteners. BODYARMOR is also low in sodium and high in potassium. Many of the top professional athletes have chosen BODYARMOR over all other sports drinks, including Andrew Luck, Richard Sherman, Mike Trout and James Harden – and Kobe Bryant is a major investor in the brand."
What you see above, is just a portion of what the brand Body Armor is and what they do. They provide athletes, young and old, a great alternative to the regular sports drinks we consume.

I don't know about you, but I'm sort of the queen of anything fitness or sports related. Why? Well, with three boys ranging from ages 14 to 6, they are ALL involved in some sport at any given time of year and I consider myself a pro when it comes to keeping them hydrated and keeping those little internal engines going as well.

My boys run the gamut when it comes to their likes and dislikes of foods or drinks. They can never agree, I have two that will eat or a drink a kitchen sink if I let them, and one who wouldn't touch certain foods or drinks even if I paid him a million dollars.

Enter Body Armor with six delicious flavor you'll be sure to entice even the pickiest of the picky. My 12 year old is "King Picky", he does not eat fruits OR vegetables. You're probably thinking, what kid doesn't like fruit? Vegetables we understand, but fruit? Yup. No fruit. No joke. When he saw the box of Body Armor, he immediately asked, "what is that?" "will I like it?" To which I replied honestly, "Probably not dude, it's fruit and it's healthy and good for you. You can try it and if you don't want it, I'll drink it." I don't sugar coat it, I know what he likes and doesn't like, and while he's not typically open to trying new things, I think puberty is helping expand his very small palette. He grabbed and bottle of Mixed Berry Body Armor, and said "This is good, I'll drink it" *jaw dropped*

My 14 year old is a freshman, and he's currently playing football. He asked if I had bought him any of his regular sports drink and I said "No, but I have something for you to try in the fridge" and he protested, you know, typical teenager, "why!!!???" He drank the Orange Mango flavor and said, "Oh man, this is good! It tastes just like Mango!! I'm gonna take three of these to practice with me tomorrow."

He had a game, so he was running out the door and I asked him if I could take a picture of him with his Body Armor and he said "Yeah, but not my face", typical. My six year old thought they were delicious, but that kid will try raw onion and garlic just to make sure he "likes it" (as he puts it).

What did I think?

I have to tell you, in all honesty, I'm NOT a fan of the regularly consumed sports drinks. My kids enjoy them, but what kid doesn't? Right? They're everywhere, and that's really all they get after their games. So when I tell you that Body Armor is REALLY good, it's no lie. They go down smooth, you can taste the Coconut Water (which is a natural replenisher of electrolytes) and you don't get that massive salty after taste! I have to say though, that I haven't seen them in my local stores, and was surprised that they sell Body Armor locally, but in my local service stations only. I'd be REALLY happy if they got some shelf space at my local grocery stores, because I'd stock up on these for sure!

Body Armor, as I stated at the beginning is backed by many famous and popular athletes. While, I'm not big on believing any celebrity endorsements, I can tell you with certainty that Body Armor is going to be huge, even more than it is now! The drink is a smart alternative! I love that the flavors are legitimate, and not weird combinations!

No Artificial Colors!

To say that I'll be hounding Body Armor at my local service stations, is an understatement. My boys loved them and I thought they were delicious! I'll be talking to the team mom's about Body Armor and we'll have to get the boys on the teams to try them out as well.
