Studio Gear Cosmetics - CC Cream Review

***Disclaimer:  As part of the BrandBacker community, I received a complimentary sample of Studio Gear Cosmetics CC Cream to facilitate this review. All opinions expressed in this post are 100% my own and do not reflect the views of BrandBacker or Studio Gear Cosmetics***

I remember the first time I tried Studio Gear cosmetics, I was on one of my many make-up shopping trips. I was tired of using the same line, I wanted to mix it up a little. I was glad the girl at the counter suggested this line to me, I've been hooked ever since and I buy it as often as I can.

"Studio Gear Cosmetics founded by industry veterans Steve Rohr and John Avolio, Studio Gear Cosmetics is a prestigious cosmetics brand featuring a full collection of professional makeup brushes, revolutionalizing complexion formulas, and a wide selection of color products for the eyes, cheeks, and lips. Since 1996, Studio Gear has been on set at hundreds of professional photo shoots, in the beauty departments of Bloomingdales, Macy's, Dillard's, HSN and ULTA, and also in the everyday woman's makeup bag.  This is a line created tru to the concept that every woman deserves professional high quality cosmetics at a reasonable price."

If you're not familiar with CC creams, then you've probably been hiding under a rock, along with the craze of BB creams, this is a must have in any cosmetic bag! Shame on you for not knowing about CC cream, lucky for you I'm sweet on my readers, so I'll give you a quick run through!

What is CC cream?

Color Correcting or Color Control Cream.

What does that mean to you?

Well, if you have uneven skin tone, redness or sallowness this should be able to improve the overall look of your skin tone.

How is Studio Gear CC Cream Natural different from their Hydrating CC Cream?

CC Cream Natural uses your own natural pigment to develop color.  Genius, right?

Let's check it out.

Don't mind that horrendous picture, my natural skin tone is horrible.  I'm patchy, blotchy and have mild redness. It's so much fun, haha...kidding.

That's the CC Cream Natural, it squeezes out almost a grayish white.  If you can tell, the ends of that dot I put on my hand, was already color matching my skin, if that's not awesome...really, I don't know what is!

I completely blended the CC Cream Natural and it's invisible, no signs of makeup. This is great, especially for people who want to look "put together" but in an effortless sort of way!

Here, well, I'm sure you all know what sort of shenanigans were going on. I went CC Cream Natural dot happy all over my face, how do I look?

Now, if you look at the very first picture up top, it doesn't look like a dramatic difference, but you can still see that my skin tone has improved. I don't look uneven and it even covered those dark circles!

Here I am with a full face of makeup.  I had the CC Cream Natural ONLY, some blush, a tad of bronzer, some lip gloss and winged liner. Nothing fancy, but I look put together, besides, I combed my hair for everyone, too!

My final thoughts:

While I encourage those who enjoy a dewy and creamy complexion to run out and buy this, I don't recommend it as highly for someone such as myself, who unfortunately suffer from a severly oily complexion.  I loved it for when I was out shopping and I didn't want to look like the zombie apocalypse was coming towards people at the store.  But I had to use a tiny, itty bit of product so that I wouldn't wind up glowing by the end of the day.

If you'd like to try out any of Studio Gear Cosmetics lines, or their brushes (which is what they're originally known for) then head on over and take a look on their site! They are reasonably and competitively priced with other high end brands.
